Our Story

Trinity Church began as a home fellowship in the summer of 1975 with approximately 15 people. It has now grown into a major Christ (Word and Spirit-oriented) organization reaching the City of Temple-Belton, the surrounding communities, and stretching its borders around the world with the many missions we support.

God is giving His people “vision” to fulfill His eternal plan and purpose on earth.  The prophet, Joel, foretold that God would pour out His Spirit upon all flesh.  We are living in such a time.  We are living in the most exciting moment in history.  God is raining His Word down on our earth and a greater number of people than ever before are coming to know the Truth and making Jesus both Savior and Lord.  Even those that have known Him are being turned-on to His Word and His Spirit.  God has called and is continuing to call a body of believers in Bell County to equip us for the end-time harvest and discipling of His people.

The founding Pastors Wilburn & Doris Burns faithfully taught the Word of God to the body of Christ at Trinity Church for 30 years.  They brought to the Bell County area the teaching of praise & worship, divine healing, and the authority of the believer. Pastor Wilburn and Doris stepped down as the Senior Pastors in 2007 and Pastor Wilburn now carries the title Pastor Emeritus. They are both still involved at Trinity Church.
